How can you clarify realism? There lies the question! I think the solution lies in the name. Truly portraying any certain subject simply as it appears in it’s realistic set up. As you might or possibly will not realise, these depictions may not every time be pleasing or attractive if you are to generate broad-spectrum realism art.

Realism dates way back toward the 1800’s in France. So, in fact, artists were copying, reproducing if you like, something otherwise somebody they might truly observe. Yet, after this had been achieved, it didn’t mean to impart that you may perhaps not put in, say spiritual effects, at the same time as an illustration, to it.

Thus you could have a real woods setting, although incorporate imaginary characters like fairies, elves etc. However, by doing this you would be bordering on abstract paintings. François Millet must have been one of the earliest realism artists to paint subjects simply like they are, and if truth be told, seen. One of his renowned paintings that springs to attention which I love as well as did have a good print of, is ‘The Gleaners Working In The Fields’ which is a classic representation of this practice of fine art.

If you were to study this picture you would observe that there are no exaggerations of form incorporated inside this.

Next you experience an American guy, Winslow Homer, born about the 1800’s who did believe that artists ought to not look on fellow artists handiwork. This line of attack you stayed sincere to yourself. I imagine he thought that your picture must convey day to day living situations in whichever means the artist may possibly come across to make that viable. He has lots of striking pieces of art, however one to appreciate is ‘Prisoners From The Front’.

By and large with realism it does not really slip in something, say, as of pure thoughts, or else even religion which seemed to influence other styles of fine art.

Dominique Ingres had a very acceptably acknowledged image with her rendering of ‘Madame Riviere’. This at the moment in time was different, because she painted this entirely inside an oval shape. Consequently evidently this therefore certainly caused a to-do.

However, without doubt one of the generally renowned artists for realism has to remain Francisco Goya. A Spaniard born into the 1700’s, who was not simply an artist, but what’s more a printmaker. He categorically was an artist who was a first-class example to us all of what depths representational paintings could attain.

Of course, I would declare that he was ingenious, but he was forever true to his subjects in anything he produced. He didn’t deliver his subjects through rose coloured spectacles, what he saw was what you got. Good like it was, fascinatingly unsightly or delightful.

Goya besides achieved a large amount of his representative realism by means of etching, except integrated the use of aqua tints. There are so many legendary pictures of his that I can dub, although to identify just two it would have to be ‘The Sleep Of Reason’ then ‘ The Family Of Charles IV’.

In the role of an artist I have found silk painting relatively fascinating. I became in this primarily once I moved to the Canary Islands, although I did not possess much time to allocate to it or have the basic equipment really. If truth be told, I straightforwardly improvised!

Initially it was just something I did sporadically when I ended work to wind down a bit. Nevertheless I found the time completely vanished as I became so immersed in what I was doing that I never wanted to stop. Consequently you may well say it was only a bit of a pastime that I found myself partaking in from time to time.

To this time it is still no different, I give rise to phases when I perform silk paintings. On these times I frequently wish I did more. On the other hand, I can genuinely state that I have given out quite a few silk paintings to a range of friends and relatives as presents for Birthdays as well as Christmas and they are continually favorably received.

What’s more, here in the Canary Islands I have found it quite hard to get the items required for creating silk paintings, which has been relatively exasperating for me. Currently it does seem to be to some extent easier, as luck would have it.

Then again, on my trip to Ireland last year I was fortunate enough to happen upon a picturesque little fine art and craft shop tucked away inside Kenmare which came up with several of my requirements, so it started me off all over again!

I would not exclaim that silk painting is easy because you in no way know when the colours are going to run and they are very hard to amend. In addition, you cannot ascertain how the silk is going to take on board the paint. Now and then it can be quite irregular furthermore although you apply more paint it doesn’t seem to bring about any alteration, which can be pretty infuriating.

Once the paint runs it can be really exasperating, but in spite of that at additional times it can be enchanting because it can add to the appearance. Hence you could declare there are advantages along with yet disadvantages whilst you perform silk painting.

The silk itself looks delightful as the daylight shines all the way through it, so you can in fact make use of silk paint going on ties, silk cushions, bags, garments etc. to dazzling effects. So, as you can see, it can be used to enhance items other than pictures. Even if at times this could be fairly complicated.

As I carry out silk painting I regularly discover for my part dyeing the silk initially or else creating patterning going on the silk before I even contemplate about what I am in point of fact going to paint on to the fabric itself. Once you paint pictures though it is not at all times straightforward to determine how to mount them to obtain the finest effect. I would say it is down to trial and error and just the artist can decide this.
But besides all this, abstract paintings still remain my favourite type of art.
